President Saleh Confers With Mahathir

 

 

 

    Sanaa Aug 16 President Ali Abdullah Saleh along with vice president abdu-Raboh Mansor Hadi received here on Thursday Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir   Mohammad who is currently visiting Yemen.

During the meeting they reviewed bilateral relations and ways of developing fields of bilateral cooperation in cultural commercial, political aspects.

They also exchange the point of views on regional, Islamic and international development especially the current development Palestinian territories and what the Islamic holy places face due to attempts of defacing their Islamic identify.

President Saleh welcomed Malaysian prime minister and his accompanying delegation in their visit to Yemen and expressed  pleasure for good relations between the two brotherly countries .

He also welcomed Malaysian investment in Yemen be it in oil , gas, tourism , or free zone in Aden city and pointing out to numerous chances for boosting cooperation and extending  trade exchange  in order to reach full partnership .

On hie part, The Malaysian prime minister expressed thanks and appreciation for warm welcome and good hospitality, voicing his country’s interest in developing relations and fields of cooperation with Yemen.

On the other hand President Saleh made a lunch banquet at presidential office on honor of Malaysian Prime Minister Dr, Mahathir Mohammad and his accompanying delegation.

The banquet was attended by vice president Abdu Rabu Mansor.

Prime minister Abdul- Qader Ba-Jammal chairman of Al-shora council Abdul Aziz Abdul Gani and a number of ministers and senior officials.

Later in the afternoon Mahathir Bin Mohammad along with his wife arrived in Aden city to get acquainted with antiquarian monuments and architectural progress, especially in the free zone.

He was received at Aden airport by Taha Ahmed Ghanem governor of Aden, Abdul- Karim shaifi secretary general of Aden local council in Addition a number of senior officials from the governorate. (SABA).
