PESIDENT PRAISES ARAB INTELLECTUALS ROLE TO ENHANEC
SOLIDARITY

President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Monday with members
of the Kuwaiti cultural delegation headed by secretary – general of the Kuwaiti
culture arts and sciences council Mohammed Al-Romaihi who briefed the president
on the activities of the Kuwaiti cultural week.
During the meeting discussed with the delegation
the historic relations between the two countries, pointing out that the holding
of Kuwaiti cultural week in Sana’a is a remarkably excellent event with its
indications that those relations are rapidly developing. President talked about the role those
Arab intellectuals have to play to serve Arab Ummah issues and to enhance Arab solidarity
in the framework of partnership and exchange interests. “ The existence of
joint interests between Arab nations is the tool for enhancing ties and the
capacity of Arab Ummah to face challenges either in the political, cultural or
developmental fields “.
President added.
President called for making a comprehensive developmental contract to serve
joint interests between Arab countries because development process is considered
to be a coherent system including different fields of life, wishing the
cultural week more success. After that the delegation presented the armor of “
Kuwait is the capital of Arab culture in 2001” for president Ali Abdullah
Saleh.
